1 - Motivation
Mark Zuckerberg was motivated by many things to found and develop Facebook. Facebook was founded in February of 2004, but previous versions (such as Facemash or theFacebook) were created. According to Wikipedia, Mark Zuckerberg (and co.) initially created Facebook as a "central" website for Harvard University students. Facebook quickly got attention, and started expanding to other universities in the United States. It eventually went worldwide and Mark Zuckerberg moved operations to Palo Alto, California.
